Process Design Engineer

Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical

Work Location: Chennai

·'Graduate Chemical Engineers having 8 - 25 years of experience in Basic Engineering / Front End Engineering Design / EPC Projects of large-scale Oil & Gas, LNG, Refinery, Petrochemical, Polymer, PSF, Fertilizer, Utilities and Offsite Facilities.

· The applicant shall have relevant experience in Process Design & Engineering on activities such as Process Simulation, PFD's, P&ID's, Hydraulic calculations, Equipment sizing, Relief load estimation, Depressurization calculations, Instrument Process Data Sheets, etc. with hands on experience in software such as HYSYS, PRO II, UniSim, Pipenet, Flarenet, etc'.

· Basic knowledge of piping, electrical, mechanical, machinery, instrumentation engineering disciplines

· Knowledge of Discipline engineering design criteria's, methods and workflows from conceptual phase up to site engineering phase.

· Capability to define the technical documents set based on Project quantities and scope of work.

· Capability to perform and coordinate Project engineering documents production activities and to check and review design documents, prepared either internally or by Vendors

· Capability to analyze dedicated Project requirements in terms of international codes & standards, local standards and codes and identify proper implementation actions

· Knowledge of engineering process workflow and activity sequence, with understanding of the interfaces with other disciplines

· Knowledge in Material selection

· Capability to design and coordinate P&IDs for related systems. Full knowledge of Discipline workflow and of Discipline mechanization procedures and criteria. Full knowledge of discipline P&IDs mechanization battery limits

· Knowledge of criteria, standards and methodologies related to Process design and Equipment Sizing

· Knowledge and experience in the design criteria and methodology for equipment, valves, packages, piping, including relevant safety requirements and standards

· Knowledge and experience in the preparation and optimization of PFDs and P and IDs.

· Capabilities in managing the integration with piping and instrumentation activities

Software skills: Hysys, Flarnet, Promax, Aspen Plus, Pipenet, ProII, Unisim
