Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

This position performs repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel powered trucks, tractors and trailers.

Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the truck and trailer repair field. The applicant must also have the ability to troubleshoot and analyze mechanical, electrical and other types of problems whether single or a combined tractor-trailer unit.

The applicant must also have experience and the ability to perform repairs such as; Brakes, Clutches, Air Conditioning and other mechanical components.

• General knowledge and experience in truck / trailer repair and operations.

• Must have own tools.

• Willingness to accept all types of job assignments.

• Willing and able to work nights and weekends

• Professional attitude and appearance.

• Good past employment history.

• Self motivated and ambitious.

• Ability to work independently and be held accountable.

• Excellent work ethic and good attitude.

• Clean MVR

• CDL (commercial drivers license) a plus

• Welding a plus

• Compensation: DOE

Sun Valley Fleet Service is a full service diesel truck and trailer repair facility. We have been in business for over 30 years serving the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

Our hours are great! - Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
