Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance contractor to join a high-performing team supporting a state-of-the-art, controlled environment research facility. We are looking for a passionate and proven Facilities and Maintenance Support Technician to be part of our Product & Platform Acceleration team supporting the Crop Accelerator facility ensuring our highly automated chambers and the facility systems are consistently operating at peak performance. The successful candidate will work across a diverse set of teams within our Technology organization and be exposed to a variety of novel applications for automation.

You will be responsible for:

(Essential Duties and Responsibilities)

Execution of the preventative maintenance program for the Crop Accelerator, ensuring facility readiness for new automation; utilities, space allocation, delivery planning

Primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment

Perform general building maintenance when required

Successful equipment startup; installation and system validation

Analyze problems and identify corrective measures

Performs equipment operations, preventive, and corrective maintenance procedures, daily checks, and inspections

Document work in accordance with the CMMS

Defining and documenting safety best practices for support and troubleshooting activities

Defining, procuring, and managing critical spares inventories

Asset tracking and lifecycle management

Managing and initiating 3rd party vendor relationships

Relevant training and system updates

You Have:

(Competencies and Qualifications)

Education

Minimum of an associate degree in engineering technology or equivalent automation support training.

Experience

1+ years of relevant Facilities and Maintenance support experience.

Skillset/qualifications

Familiar with the Microsoft office suite to prepare reports, format spread sheets and communicates by email

Be highly focused on customer and tenant satisfaction expectations

Good documentation and record keeping

Understanding of and strict adherence to daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)

Experience in automation support, test engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience tracking and reporting issues using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Experience with agricultural processing equipment, barcode labeling, conveyor systems, environmental control systems, lighting systems and associated software.

Experience troubleshooting equipment problems and identifying and delivering solutions with 3rd parties to minimize system downtime.

Strong relevant computer hardware and software skills.
