IT Security Analyst

Cloud Platform Security Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to protect against internal and external threats to company email, data, e-commerce, and web-based systems for the Acxiom organization. This role involves researching security breaches, designing countermeasures, maintaining security hardware and software, and contributing to security policies and processes for both cloud-based and on-premises solutions.

Responsibilities:

Provide operational direction on security processes, escalate and remediate critical incidents.

Monitor security technologies and analyze events using SIEM tools.

Communicate project status and assess client satisfaction.

Implement new security solutions and participate in discussions on security issues.

Guide the transition from legacy systems to modern architectures, maintaining knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Develop secure coding standards and maintain security and risk management operations.

Support audit readiness, prepare for audits, and maintain required documentation.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 2+ years in IT security or equivalent related experience.

Technical background (e.g., network, systems, or database administration).

Familiarity with Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Understanding of network security, SIEM tools, and common attack vectors.

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with security operations, incident handling, vulnerability management, and related fields.

Certifications such as CCNA, GSEC, GCIA, CISSP, CEH, GPEN, CEPT, or relevant cloud certifications.
