Description:

Lead process improvements and projects in manufacturing engineering duties which focus on aluminum extruded products.

Job Duties/Responsibilities - (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following):

Plan and prioritize project work associated with current process, new product launch, tooling, and process development.

Knowledge and experience with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001

Develops and implement controlled manufacturing processes for new and existing products using PFMEA, Control Plan, and Reaction Plan documents.

Communicates clearly with verbal, written, and 1 page summaries to peers, manufacturing team, and upper management.

Participates in problem solving within process for Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery.

Lead investigations for customer complaint using quality tools; including root cause analysis, cause & effect, capability studies, etc.

Lead and participate in cost improvement idea generation, rank, justification and follow through.

Drive for Results of improvement of OEE through standard work flow, elemental time, and first time through efficiency.

Evaluates product and process capabilities, establishes standards, and validates manufacturing processes

Lead capital equipment project recommendations and business justifications

Apply GD&T requirements to machine, jig, and process controls and be able to show measurement capability.

Applies data and metrics to create logical improvement priorities or defend proposals.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related discipline.

3 years’ experience in an industrial environment. Automotive background preferred.

Experience with robotic automated equipment.

PC skills using Micro Soft tools and communication skills - written and verbal.

Analytical and logical planning skills.

Auto-Cad experience.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
