Position Purpose:

In the role of Regional Manager, your primary responsibilities will include mentoring/managing the Sales Engineers and Service Rep(s), supporting the cultivation of new business opportunities within the territory and growth of relationships for major accounts. You will play a crucial role in helping our customers achieve their business goals by delivering product solutions you can take pride in. This position reports to our National Sales Manager.

Essential Functions:

Manage the sales planning, forecasting and management of the region to meet or exceed annual sales targets

Coach, mentor and engage your sales and service team to promote their professional development and performance to goals

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities

Design and negotiate promotional sales and volume discount programs with regional distributor base

Regularly travel with sales team (25-50%) to distributors and end-user sites, assessing customer needs and offering solutions

Support the Regional Sales Engineer in ongoing technical training, new product updates, demonstrations, and promotions to distribution channel sales partners.

Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotes, and presentations to enhance key account growth and engagement

Participate in trade shows, conferences as well as other marketing events to differentiate Lyndex-Nikken’s high quality and precision value proposition.

Support the utilization of our CRM for all prospecting and customer activities

Perform administrative office and site management duties

Requirements:

Goal-oriented, self-directed, entrepreneurial spirit with the focus and flexibility required to deepen market share penetration within assigned region

Experience utilizing Power BI or other analytics tools to make data driven, strategic sales decisions

Demonstrated success developing and mentoring winning sales teams

Working technical knowledge of CNC machinery

Strong presentation and professional written/oral communication skills

Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate distribution channel partner complexities

Able to identify customer needs and sell based on quality solutions rather than price

5+ years of sales and leadership experience in the machine tool or adjacent industry. Solid CNC technical expertise and aptitude for leadership may be considered in lieu of specific tool industry or sales experience.

Live within a reasonably commutable distance of the territory

In return for experience and results, Lyndex-Nikken provides competitive compensation including an attractive base salary, commissions that increase as sales grow, in addition to company provided:

Compensation (salary plus commission and bonus) range is $120k-$200k annually. We may consider going above that range for exceptional experience and industry knowledge.
