A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Psychotherapist for a promising opportunity with their growing staff in the Bronx. In this role, the Psychotherapist will be responsible for providing clinical assessment & diagnosis, crisis assessment/intervention support, and psychotherapy to the organization's young population.
About the Opportunity:
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 3 to 4 months (Contract to Hire opportunity)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 10am to 6pm
Setting: Outpatient Mental Clinic
Patient Population: Child & Adolescent (Ages 0 to 24)
Responsibilities:
The Psychotherapist will:
Conduct mental health assessments, diagnosis, and intake
Screen for trauma and safety concerns as applicable
Provide ongoing individual, group, and/or family counseling as applicable to role
Provide crisis intervention services; participate in on call crisis intervention rotation coverage
Perform ongoing case analysis and treatment planning
Participate in case conferences and all treatment team activities
Participate in ongoing training
Assist families with both clinical and concrete services, and community linkages as applicable
Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, and/or a related Behavioral Science field
LMSW, LMHC, and/or related license
Solid assessment and documentations kills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Desired Skills:
2+ years of experience in Child Welfare / Child Protective Services
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Experience with Evidence-Based Models
