We are searching for a detailed, professional, and dependable person to join our Accounting staff here at Annapolis Micro Systems. You will assist with and complete financial reporting and other monthly reporting requirements, such as maintenance of the general ledger, customer invoicing, month-end close, payroll, and tax filings. In addition, you will have customer interaction, as you will complete customer invoicing and ensure it meets the customer’s approval.

Responsibilities

Maintain financial records and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded

Prepare various month-end reporting and account reconciliations

Prepare, send, and verify invoices have been received by customers and are acceptable

Contact customers to ensure on-time payment of invoices

Reconcile accounts payable/receivable

Prepare balance sheets, financial statements, and other financial reports.

Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis

Identify and resolve any accounting problems in a timely manner

Develop special reports and ad-hoc analyses

Cross-train with other accounting department members to cover other tasks when/as needed

Maintain historical records through filing documents

Recording daily transactions, deposits, and income

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Experience with computer-based Accounting systems

Strong organizational and analytical skills detail-oriented

Ability to work a 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule

Desired Technical Background

Experience working with and invoicing prime government contractors a plus

Experience with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Trancepta, and Exostar is a plus

CPA and/or Masters a plus

Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with Quickbooks

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledgerCompany Description
