Job Description
We are looking to hire a part-time Accounting Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for assisting with accounting related activities of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Accurately input financial data into the accounting system
Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
Review all job cost-related payables for accurate cost coding and adherence to appropriate payment terms
Assist with issue checks/online payments
Monitor and control trade contractor insurance and lien waivers
Update and maintain accounting records and transactions
Assist in the preparation and issuance of client invoices
Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed
Complete various assignments/projects as requested by the Controller
Encourage and improve cross-department internal communication
Qualifications:
Prefer construction experience within administrative services
Previous experience in billing, finance, or other related fields
Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
Professional attitude and appearance
Self-starter, initiative driven
Detail-oriented
Ability to meet daily, weekly, monthly deadlines
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Strong organizational skills
Reliable
