Job Description
Robert Half's trusted client is seeking a Controller Consultant for a long-term engagement. This hybrid position is located in Ann Arbor Michigan and will report directly to the CEO.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Oversee and manage all accounting functions
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and auditing
• Play an active role in budget processes and financial planning
• Maintain accounts and ensure their accuracy and legality
• Handle SEC filings and ensure they are done correctly and on time
• Manage the transfer of money and other financial transactions
• Collaborate with other finance team members to streamline operations
• Take on responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the CFO and CEO
• Participate in meetings to discuss resourcing and other financial matters
• Handle end-of-month reporting and other reporting duties as required.
The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets:
• Proven experience in a Controller role for at least seven years
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Demonstrated skills in Auditing
• Proficiency in Budget Processes
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and applications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred)
• Solid understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
