Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position offers a competitive compensation package and an attractive benefits plan, including 4 weeks of paid time off (PTO) per year. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, managing financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.

Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts, accruals, and journal entries. Provide accurate and timely financial reporting.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and make recommendations for cost control.

General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and accounts.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and financial best practices.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement.

Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements and best practices in financial operations.

Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.

Supervision: Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.

Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, with a focus on progressively responsible roles.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.

Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
