We are looking for a talented 2024 School to Work - Health, Safety, and Environment - Administrative to join our team specializing in manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Columbus, IN.

This is an onsite position. Work schedule can vary as needed to accommodate the student's regular school schedule.

Request that successful candidate work a routine schedule up to the STW limit of 19 hours per week, and no less than 15 hours per week. There is room for flexibility when needed, but we request that a routine workweek be maintained as much as possible.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective actions.

Performs administrative duties in a combination of work-based learning and academic instruction for a maximum of 19 hours per week. Serves as a pipeline for future Cummins career opportunities.

Independently performs work to help support area needs.

Applies appropriate company rules and guidelines to work.

Interfaces and communicates with internal and external customers; directs people to the appropriate resources; researches solutions and responds to email and phone inquiries; interacts effectively with all levels of employees throughout the company.

Demonstrates a willingness to learn from others.

Takes responsibility for all assignments and duties.

Engages with required functional areas as needed.

Qualifications

Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment in need of repair.

Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.

Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

Ensures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.

Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.

Minimal or no work experience required.

Hourly Pay : $14.81

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
