Job Description and Requirements
This role’s responsibilities include driving sales of emulation, FPGA prototyping, virtual prototyping, and HW-assisted verification (HAV) solutions products. You will work with customers to understand their hardware and software verification needs and work with technical experts to develop and position solutions. You will create business proposals and close business agreements. You will work with technical teams to ensure customer success and business growth.
Key Qualifications:
Manage complex business and technical engagements resulting in customer success and business growth
Communication with a broad range of technical and non-technical people
Good understanding of SOC (System on Chip), software design and verification processes
Working in a team environment with Global Account Managers, Sales Managers, Executive Account Managers, Applications Consultants, Corporate Applications Engineers, Marketing and R&D to meet and exceed established goals of the account team
Account planning, project management, forecasting, lead generation, prospecting, qualifying and delivery of sales presentations and proposals to either new or existing customers. Also, responding to information requests and inquiries from executives and global team members
Driving and coordinating technical resources to support an understanding of the customer’s verification challenges and needs
Evaluating products, developing a solution proposal, and closing business with the customer, through managing the complete sales opportunity and process
Developing long-term business opportunities within global customers by creating a close relationship with key decision makers within the account base
Coordinating the preparation of written proposals and interfacing with internal organizations such as business units, legal, finance, and order processing for the purpose of closing business
Developing and directing complex technical sales plans, which may involve competitive displacements or creative business solutions to meet or exceed pre-established quotas and account initiativesPreferred Experience:
Typically requires a BS with at least 5-8 years of experience in the IC or software design space is preferred
History of success selling or supporting complex technical products and services preferably around the semiconductor industry
selling business value to executives
Serving as the primary technical sales contact for specific technologies
A good understanding of the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) market, tools flows & methodologies, persuasive communication skills, and the ability to interact with executives, engineering management and financial staff at all levels
