Overview:

Dallas, GA CTC is seeking an APP to join our team for a Part-Time for 28-30 hours per week. Monday through Thursday, 6 AM-1:30 PM. Dallas CTC is an outpatient Opioid Treatment Center that offers medication assisted treatment for all genders over the 18 years old.

This APP will work with the Medical Director assist with leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of the clinic within the boundaries of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include planning, organizing medical and clinical practices; providing direct patient care and assisting other departments with direct interactions with physicians or medical staff:

Current GA license to practice medicine

Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification

Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions

Prefer previous experience in behavioral health or substance abuse treatment

No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Responsibilities:

Summary:

Responsible for providing medical care for prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication to patients at the clinic, and within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility or clinic policy or procedures;

Performs physical exams on patients admitted for medication maintenance to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems;

Reviews medical information on patients to ensure medical stability, eligibility for program, and to offer medical recommendations;

Ensuring that all patients are aware of the hazards of the medication treatment program;

Evaluates patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results and patient feedback;

Provides patient and staff education on medical maintenance;

Reviews and completes medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures;

Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure; and,

Performs other duties as assigned.

Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time; and,

Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university

Previous experience in a substance abuse treatment program preferred

No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a period of three years before employment

Licenses/Certifications:

Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the clinic(s) operates

Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification preferred

Current DEA credentials required to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
