Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

Multi-state design firm is seeking a Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with a focus on dam projects for their team in Plano, Texas!

Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership/project management for water resources projects

Tasks include inspection, investigation, evaluation, design, and construction of both existing and new dams, reservoirs, levees, and hydraulic structures

Promote high standards and exceed industry standards

Develop/review design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications

Conduct senior-level review of construction documents (calculations, plans, specifications)

Assist with business development

Build/maintain client relationships

Coordinate project workloads with multiple offices

Represent firm at networking events

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program

12+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical, and/or structural engineering

PE License

Proficient in evaluating construction drawings and technical specifications

Knowledge of state and federal dam safety design methodologies, policies, and regulations

Project management/client relations experience

Business development and proposal experience

Salary is commensurate with experience.
