ALLEGANY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT JOB ANNOUNCEMENT COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE I COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE II MULTIPLE CONTRACTUAL VACANCIES LOCATION: School Health Program NATURE OF WORK: Provide school nursing services for students to improve, maintain, or adapt to their health status to strengthen and enhance their educational experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR COMMUITY HEALTH NURSE I: Education: Current State of Maryland Registered Nurse license Experience: None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE II: Education: A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.

Experience: None.

Notes: Candidates may substitute a bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education.

Candidates may substitute two years of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education.

DETAILS: Multiple contractual positions available: up to 5 days per week float nurse (35 hrs./week) or on an “as-needed” basis.

Salary: $33.41/hour Subsidized medical, prescription and paid leave available for positions over 30 hours per week.
