CONTEXT & MISSION :

In order to strengthen our legal team, we are looking for a Legal Counsel who will provide legal advice and support to the L’Occitane Group business and entities. The Legal Counsel will be part of our Group Legal team, hence dealing with a variety of topics including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, sponsorship, lease, corporate, litigation, IP matters, data protection.

This position reports to the Senior Legal Counsel and is based in Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva, Headquarters).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Negotiate, review, and draft distribution agreements

Negotiate, review, comment on and draft a wide range of legal and commercial documents including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, partnership, etc.

Follow -up on lease agreements in France

Provide timely and result-oriented legal advice and support on a wide variety of matters across all lines of businesses to teams of L’Occitane Group

Respond to ad hoc queries including identification, analysis and evaluation of risks in order to provide appropriate legal solutions

Work in close cooperation with several L’Occitane Group entities and with the support functions of L’Occitane Group and liaise with/manage external counsels

HOW YOU CAN FIT :

Master’s degree in law

+ 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a Corporate environment ideally within the B2C industry

Very good knowledge of contract drafting, consumer and commercial law at an international level with a focus on Europe

Very good knowledge of French law

Fluent in English and French with solid writing skills in both languages

Ability to anticipate, efficiently manage multiple queries and issues, meet deadlines

Ability to take instructions and work independently

Hands-on approach, flexible, very business-oriented, attention to details

At ease in an international, fast-paced environment with remote teams and able to deal with ambiguity

Team player, very good communication & interpersonal skills
