Wylander, a recruiting company for the disaster restoration industry, is recruiting a Full Charge Bookkeeper for a full-service restoration company located in Norwalk, CT.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: $25.00 Plus hourly DOE

The Bookkeeper is responsible for performing and managing the day-to-day Accounting and Administration functions of the company. The Bookkeeper will also be responsible for processing payroll and investigating ways to improve profitability. This person should be a self-starter, with excellent computer skills for handling accounting and finance data.
Responsibilities:
Accurately invoice clients and manage accounts payable
Manage the company's checking accounts and cash flows
Reconcile the company's checking accounts monthly
Prepare bank deposits
Collect overdue accounts receivable
Accurately prepare the company's payroll
Prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
Direct and coordinate the company's financial planning and budget management functions
Manage the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
Oversee daily operations of the Finance department
Ensure compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal reporting requirements
Work with other department heads, executives, and owners to develop and execute the strategic plan
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the company
Provide recommendations for process and procedure improvements
Qualifications:
3+ years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
Proficient in QuickBooks (Intuit), Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
Proven strong time management, organizational, process improvement, and independence skills
Consent to satisfactory credit check upon hire
