Agile Product Owner

Outstanding long-term contract opportunity! A well-known Financial Services Company is looking for a Agile Product Owner in Charlotte, NC(Hybrid).

Required Skills & Experience

Proactive, independent self-starter, who can work in collaboration with the product and cross functional teams and partners.

Document current flows and future flows from user experience.

Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence application for Agile development.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas to diverse business and technical audiences.

Proficiency with MS Office software products including MS Project, Power Point, Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and TEAMS.

Schedule and lead project meetings as needed, publishing agendas, notes and minutes.

Experience navigating heavily matrixed organizations, including multiple business lines.

5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Skills & Experience

Banking experience.

Understand the systems impacted by project.

Understand the flow end to end (not just technical), customer, operations, sales, etc.

Know how to write user stories.

Know how to translate requirements to user stories.

Know how to work in an agile environment.

Represent “product owner” during sprints.

Communicate well in multiple audiences.

Explain how the systems interact with each other (not from a techie perspective, but from a business perspective).

Communicate business deliverables from the business perspective.

Communicate with the business and or technology.

Find out information from multiple sources, is unafraid to ask questions or ask for help.

A self-starter.

What You Will Be Doing

Create user stories & Process Flows.

Review User stories with Project team.

Update and maintain user stories in JIRA.

Attend daily sprints, backlog review, playbacks, etc.

Lead complex initiatives to provide technological solutions with broad impact for cross functional businesses and technology teams.

Act as a key participant in providing strategic business solutions to companywide technology initiatives.

Evaluate highly complex business problems and provide subject matter knowledge proficiency for technology initiatives.

Define and lead detailed research on business and technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements.

Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of domain and technology applications, and which influence companywide technology solutions.

Lead project or systems documentation, and monitor and manage project schedules and deliverables.

Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to provide comprehensive technological solutions for complex business problems.

Ensure communication and information flow between business and technology teams.
