About The Role

As part of the CloudBees CDRO platform teams, you will join the front end development team, working closely with the user experience team and the product management team to produce the next generation automation platform. Within a fast-paced environment, working iteratively in an agile team, building collective ownership gives endless opportunities to learn from your pair colleagues.

What You'll Do

Be part of a 2 week sprint executing on the backlog in lockstep with developers as part of an Agile team.

Drive the Development of plugins, starting from design to delivery. Where necessary improve existing processes and become advocates for delivering top quality software.

Understand the functionality of CloudBees Continuous Delivery software and how plugins integrate with the backend.

Learning third party software (eg: Jenkins, Servicenow) as testing would require knowledge of the Cloudbees plugin’s and the third party software that they interface with.

Collaborate with product management, support and engineering teams in order to establish priorities, understand requirements, formulate test plans and execute them accordingly.

Ability to work with customers directly on urgent issues.

Role Requirements

At least 8+ years of experience writing software language such Java( experience in Groovy is an added advantage).

Good understanding of HTTP, HTTPS and REST API is a must.

Experience as a Team Lead and/or Scrum master.

Experience with Jira Kanban boards, Confluence; (or similar) tools for project tracking.

Deep understanding of Continuous Improvement /Continuous Delivery tools is a must.

Good understanding of Object oriented principles and architecture patterns such as SOLID.

Experience with version control such as Git, Github or bitbucket is a must.

Experience with at least one of the ?loud computing services: Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.

Experience with Python would be a plus.

Experience with automation testing is a plus.

Proficiency with english language to communicate with teams based in United States and Europe is a must.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field is highly preferred.

Previous experience developing for or with any of these tools - Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, Terraform, Nexus, Servicenow, SonarQube, Git, Github or Websphere.

Previous experience with Groovy Spock Framework.

Previous experience with bash scripting and other command line interfaces on Linux, MacOSX and Windows.
