Role Summary:
To be part of the digital team within VWTS in the Digital CoE and contribute to the development of advanced analytics, process modelling and optimization, asset health monitoring, using either physics or data-driven approaches or a combination of both. The position requires the candidate to have the technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
The candidate primarily works in applications related to water/ wastewater treatment or refinery or chemical processes.
Essential Responsibilities/Expectations:
To work as a Technical Lead for application and product development in the area of advanced analytics
To provide technical contributions and supervision of the co-workers
To coordinate with project leaders and other stakeholders, in an Agile development environment to ensure continuous delivery of analytics products.
To own and maintain team tracking and operating rhythms.
To have complete ownership of the technical veracity of the deliverables while ensuring adherence to modular and standard coding practices
Developing and delivering performance monitoring algorithms using data gathered from various sources and frequencies.
Developing and delivering advanced analytics algorithms on the cloud while being able to interpret and explain the results.
Performance assessment of water treatment and chemical systems using first principles and data-driven techniques
Identify the root causes for deviations in performance of assets through necessary data analysis and simulation studies.
Understand operating philosophy of customers, its impact on assets and propose means to improve asset performance.
Supervise and guide associated activities starting from
o Data quality check and data quality enhancement
o Data ingestion
o Cloud deployment of algorithms & algorithm/model development
Reporting/Visualization & human interface
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. or Master’s in chemical or Instrumentation Engineering or Equivalent
Experience Required (Min – Max year): 5+ years of experience in design and modeling of chemical/ petrochemical/water treatment systems
