Job Description

Required Skills:

Candidate must have al least 2 years experience using an Airless Sprayer similar to a Graco Bulldog 33:1.

Need to have knowledge on SSPC codes and how they are applied

Must have willingness to learn and be open to run some of the machines in the shop and help as needed when not painting.

Experience in forklift, crane and other material handling operation, is preferred.

Basic user knowledge and understanding of Windows based computer systems such as Microsoft Office, with an ability to learn another computer-based system.

Capable of following written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Evaluate surface preparation to assure accuracy and compliance with SSPC code

Apply coatings to wet mils necessary to achieve the dry mils required by the job descriptions.

Knowledge of different types of coatings and application methods

Knowledge of environment rules and regulations

Use of grinders, chippers, sanders, and overhead cranes.

Read and layout drawings all no paint zones and confirm spot marks are noted.

Reading piece mark numbers and maintain through painting

Maintain clean and organized work area and follows all safety rules.

Operation and maintenance of all applicable equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to constantly work in various indoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions.

Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.

Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally.

Frequent standing, walking, reaching forward, balancing, feeling, object handling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping, and operating controls will be required.

Regular sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required.

Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
