CFD Engineers (Mid and Sr-levels) - Automotive (Full Benefits Package)

Akkodis is seeking two Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineers for full-time mid to senior-level positions at our Midwest-based regional facilities for the next several years. We have multiple teams with various specific/focused responsibilities including but not limited to thermal management, aerodynamics, and water management (cooling).

Pay Range: $90,000 to 140,000/yr (commensurate based on experience level)

* Prefer local candidates and those interested in relocating to Michigan, Indiana, or Ohio now or in the future.

* We are open to working with professionals eligible to work in the US with sponsorship.

Automotive CFD Engineer job responsibilities include:

Physical testing and simulations of aerodynamic, thermal, and cooling performance of vehicles.

Building, solving, and analyzing full vehicle CFD simulation models for aero/thermal/cooling simulations including preparing CAD parts for simulation modeling, clean mesh, and separate geometry for simulation volume meshing.

Project planning and coordinating with development teams for overall department results.

Occasionally, provide test support such as vehicle prep/setup for wind tunnel testing and other field activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or master's degree in mechanical, automotive, or aerodynamic engineering.

Candidates must have prior professional CFD experience in automotive or aerospace engineering with a preference for aerodynamic, thermal, and cooling performance areas.

Must possess experience with StarCCM, with other fluid dynamics software being beneficial.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
