The Scientist, Analytical Services, provides Analytical Chemistry support to AMVAC®’s business units and manufacturing efforts to enable effective and accurate decision making in process chemistry research, formulation development, regulatory support and quality control.

Responsibilities:
Design and execute analytical testing and physical characterization of AMVAC® products including end-use products, raw materials, active ingredients and inerts using state-of-the-art analytical techniques
Provide analytical support for local and regional analytical operations including method development and validation for AMVAC® manufacturing facilities across the U.S.
Serve as GLP Study Director independently executing GLP studies to determine product identity, composition, stability and other physical & chemical properties.
Maintenance of GLP SOPs including identification of new SOPs, and improvement of the existing systems
Act as Analytical Coordinator for contract GLP studies
General maintenance, repair and calibration of analytical instrumentation
Stay current on Analytical Services best practices and keep track of analytical science trends and development
Serve as a technical expert in Analytical Services inside AMVAC®
Education Requirements:
M.S. in Analytical Chemistry Required
Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry preferred
Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of expertise working with method developments with Chromatography, Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry and other modern techniques required
Experience in a GLP or GMP regulated working environment
In-depth understanding of chromatography and spectroscopy principles, techniques and instrumentation
Adept in analytical problem solving
Ability to design and execute experimentation
Self-motivated to work safely and deliver high quality results
Familiar with worldwide Agrochemicals Registration requirements desired
Good organizational, documentation and computer skills: WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, etc.
