Maintenance Technician Job Description

OSFM Maintenance Technician will be responsible for responding to service calls in a timely fashion and demonstrate courteous and professional attitude dealing with the public. Provide troubleshooting, repair and/or escalate issues as appropriate. Safely operate and/or maintain equipment within OSHA guidelines. Maintain accurate service logs via Salesforce. Complete daily facility inspection to help identify potential repairs of safety issues.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician

Responsive to service calls

Perform general handyman repairs that do not require special licensing

Monitor plumbing, electrical & HVAC systems to ensure functionality

Present a professional appearance and demeanor

Able to lift to 50 pounds

Communicate with customer about work completed

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues appropriately

Safely use tools and equipment

Ability to determine when issues need to be escalated

Knowledge of general maintenance process and methods

Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems

Working knowledge of tools, common appliances & devices

Basic drywall, painting, electric, plumbing, and analytical skills

Strong mechanical aptitude

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Team player with positive “can-do” attitude

Requirements

Valid CT Driver’s License & clean driving record

Health & Safety certificates and other building maintenance certifications a plus

High School diploma or equivalent

3 plus years of related work experience

Experience in Hospitality, Facility Maintenance or Customer Service industry preferredCompany Description
