Job Description

Our client is seeking a qualified voice/data technician to assist with the network deployments across it's new set of customers!

Travelling from site to site to install/configure/stand up new network equipment. Locations: Jackson, Grenada, Oxford, Starkville, Meridian, Vicksburg the delta, etc

Will have drive own vehicle preferred trunck or pick up truck. Mileage will reimbursed at .56/a mile

Job Description

Responsible for the installation, testing, turn up & trouble shooting of VoIP equipment and maintaining all databases associated with the VoIP product offerings. Maintain current network and equipment as well as design and implement new voice offerings. Be proficient in VOIP and TDM voice services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Install and maintain voice and data equipment in customer locations.

2. Maintain equipment used in VOIP network.

3. Work closely with other technical personnel to maintain the network’s integrity.

4. Work with customers to resolve any troubles and be proactive in trying to eliminate outages.

5. Work with customers, vendors and other companies to test new products and maintain current network.

6. Maintain corporate IP phone network

1.) Installing Pre Configured Equipment Across Multiple Environments (routers, switches, phones)

- Have you configured routers and switches and VOIP phones?

- If so please tell me about that experience.

- Did you have someone remote in and do the configurations for you?

- Have you troubleshot preconfigured equipment?

- Do you know how to set up VLANS, access ports and trunk ports.

- Do you know how to configure IP addresses.
