JR53950 IT Project Manager - Service Now

Responsibilities and Tasks

This position is for Project Manager with knowledge and experience in ServiceNow technology platform. Ideally would prefer candidate who has managed ServiceNow projects delivery across multiple areas e.g. CMDB, ITOM, ITAM, ITSM, GRC, Custom Development etc. Detailed below the responsibility -

Project Initiation:

Collaborate with the solution leads and the delivery program managers to understand the business case and the need for the project

Articulate how the project impacts the strategic roadmap.

Identify the cross dependencies with other domains

Should be able to create the project charter.

Identify the key stakeholders and map the responsibilities by creating the RACI matrix.

Define high level scope and timelines.

Good knowledge on the vendor selection process

Collaborate with the vendor partners and clearly draft the responsibilities for the vendor partners.

Coordination and adapting the specifications and approach to the different concerns and expectations of various stakeholders and adhere to the Micron Project Methodology and project standards.

Project Planning:

Partner with the solution manager and define executive sponsor, core team and project teams.

Ensure the necessary artifacts are available and drive the project kick off.

Engage with the product and delivery team in the blueprinting sessions and capture the requirements.

Schedule and facilitate the Project Team, Core Team, and Sponsor Leader meetings. Have regular meeting cadence drafted in the communication plan.

Identify the solutions/options for the scope and define the project scope.

Develop estimated timelines for the development, ITC, UAT and all major milestones.

Partner with solution manager and delivery program manager to capture the SOP98 details, project spend forecast, SOW and PO's

Build the project plan, communication plan, Release plan, Risk register, ADO

Identify, document, and respond to risk with mitigation, contingency, or other risk response plans.

Provide all the necessary artifacts required for the planning and governance framework

Schedule and drive the design and review with the executive leadership.

Support the solution manager to drive the steerco for the plan gate approval.

Partner with the solution manager to record the OPD for the Go-LIVE and follow the necessary governance checklist to move the project to execute.

Project Execution and closure:

Control the work of the project such that all scoped deliverables of the project are delivered and meet quality standards.

Manage change and work into or out of the project to avoid gold-plating or additional deliverables not change-controlled into the scope.

Closely track the timeline for development, SOE, ITC, UAT

Provide schedule or resource impacts a.s appropriate.

Ensure appropriate data and/or metrics are used to evaluate the completeness and quality of project deliverables.

Provide status reports as indicated by Project Management Office (PMO) and other governing bodies.

Identify, document, and respond to risk with mitigation, contingency, or other risk response plans.

Document, monitor, and resolve issues.

Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level and formality for resolution.

Provide details Hypercare, Go live and cutover plans

Ensure that project-level (or phase-level if appropriate) lessons learned are documented and distributed.

Work with the steerco for the necessary approvals for the project closure and ensure the necessary artifacts are available for the governance team to close the project

Leadership Skills:

Provide leadership within the team environment. Set the right tone given the needs of the project.

Define a project vision and gain team commitment to it. Provide support to all team members working to achieve it.

Resolve conflict within the team.

Provide specific performance feedback to team members and their managers.

Participate, as requested, in the recruitment and placement Micron staff and consultants into projects.

Manage project resource allocations.

Build a cohesive and high performing team.

Perform problem solving at the individual, team, or leadership level.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated skill with Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall with the ability to blend traditional project management principles and approaches to help our teams bring complex projects to completion

Minimum 5 years of experience as project manager with experience in ServiceNow projec

PMP certified is preferred, PMI-ACP will be a plus

Knowledge and experience with formal project/program management methodologies

Ability to drive cultural change and the understanding of change principles

Historical success in navigating cross-function/cross-segment, enterprise teams in a rapidly changing work environment

Demonstrated effectiveness using data to communicate and inform decisions.

Good interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
