Position Summary:

Are you intrigued by the type of role where you can provide high-level/high-visibility analysis, reporting and complex interpretation of our fundraising data? One where you can also work with the senior leaders of our acclaimed UCLA Development team to design, develop and implement reporting that addresses prospect development needs? Then consider joining us as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst within our Prospect Management and Development Analytics unit. This is a phenomenal opportunity to use your statistical analysis expertise, collaborative approach to data reporting, predictive modeling capabilities and strategic methodologies in data mining to expand and enhance our proficiency in prospect development analysis and reporting. You will also provide support and recommendations related to data management, integrity and compliance issues; identify, evaluate and recommend best practices in relation to prospect development data; and keep abreast of industry trends. Salary & Compensation:

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications:

Minimum of five years Progressive experience in analytics, data mining and/or statistical analysis combined with strong background in reporting and data analytics engineering. (Required)

Experience as Tableau Server Administrator and setting up folders, user groups, and permissions in the Tableau Server environment. (Required)

Demonstrated experience in data analytics. Ability to understand complex relational data structures and utilize statistical reasoning. (Required)

Experience with process improvement and optimization, particularly in regards to data integrity, efficiency and reporting. (Required)

Advanced knowledge of analytical techniques, knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, Excel, Salesforce, and Tableau. (Required)

Proven track record in analyzing, developing and proposing business process improvements using quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques. (Required)

Strong knowledge and expertise in complex analytics and reporting, industry standards and best practices and their application and impact in a university or non-profit setting. (Required)

Ability to gather, organize and interpret data from numerous business sources, leverage knowledge of data needs, data sources and data solution technologies to provide clients with accurate and timely (often real-time) prospects, results and analytical reports. (Required)

Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven track record in delivering consistently high standard of customer service and success; able to acquire input and lead discussions with a wide range of internal and external constituents. (Required)

Ability to understand and incorporate business needs and objectives of varying clients, delivering analytical products that encompass client-specific criteria embedded with departmental and industry best practices. (Required)

Demonstrated ability to effectively convey analysis to senior leadership and development officers to aid in decision-making, trend analysis, performance benchmarks and other advancement related topics. (Required)

Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and efficiency; demonstrated ability to independently organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects and activities; follow through on assignments and meet deadlines under minimal supervision. (Required)

Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of philanthropy, sales or marketing and the application of analytics and reporting to prospect development techniques. (Required)

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to explain analytical result sets to both internal and external audiences at all levels; ability to gain confidence, trust and respect in level and quality of services provided. (Required)
