Responsibilities:

The IT Security Coordinator will assist the IT Security Manager to design, develop and manage the implementation of corporate information security policies, procedures, and programs with the goal of ensuring compliance with all aspects of the HIPAA Security Rule and protecting all information assets of the Northside Hospital organization and the PHI of our patients.

The IT Security Coordinator is expected to interface and work cooperatively with peers on the various Information Systems’ teams as well as with the leaders of other Northside departments and locations to share the corporate security vision with those individuals and to monitor compliance with all aspects of the security program. A Coordinator may focus primarily on either the hospitals and overall network security, or he/she may focus on Physician Practices and security of other remote/off-site locations.

Qualifications:

1. B.S. Degree in Business, IT Security, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience of eight (8) years in IT including five (5) with heavy IT Security focus.

2. Three (3) years prior IT Security experience (with BS degree).

3. Excellent analytical and communication skills.

4. Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
