Mays is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Fairfield, NJ The selected candidate will report directly to the Director of Operations and Environmental Affairs. The candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and administering all aspects of the distribution center operations including: requisitioning, receiving, storing, stocking, distributing a wide variety of materials and supplies; dispatching contract drivers and operating specialized equipment such as forklifts, drum snatchers, and pallet inverters. Selected candidate will be responsible for the delivery of consistent, high quality service through the use of continuous improvement principles, adherence to MCC policies and procedures and a thorough understanding of customer specific requirements. Candidate responsible for supervising personnel.

Other Responsibilities - Selected candidate will interact with various internal and external customers, maintain budgets and inventory accuracy and perform quality checks on customer orders. Candidate will be responsible for handling hazardous chemicals and maintaining a safe and clean work environment and responding to calls outside of normal business hours when necessary. Responsible for maintaining compliance records and interacting with regulatory officials/agencies such as DOT, FAA, OSHA, Fire Marshall, etc.

Education/Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required. Five (5) years plus of warehouse experience in a chemical environment required and five (5) years of management experience required. Forklift certification required. Selected candidate should possess good problem solving skills, be organized, thorough and attentive to details. Candidate should be able to handle facility issues and possess knowledge of basic human resources principles, good verbal and written communication skills, and regulatory and quality guidelines such as 49 CFR. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
