Confidential client is a premier provider of small to medium-sized complex forgings for the aerospace, military & defense, and high-tech automotive world.
Their recently renovated and re-capitalized facility is poised for significant growth in the coming year.
Objective
The Quality Managers responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting
materials, equipment, methods, and products, developing quality control systems, and
determining corrective actions. You will also work with associates, customers, suppliers,
supervisors, managers, and directors to implement quality measures. The successful Quality
Manager candidate should be capable of ensuring processes and products meet established
quality standards. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervising a staff of Inspectors, Technicians, and QA Engineers
Providing leadership, training, and expert guidance of the Quality Management System
Serving as advisor and mentor to Quality Department team members
Coordinating quality support to production Suppliers, including resolution of process problems
Compiling and report business metrics - analyze data to identify trends of non- conformances
Performing and following-up internal and external quality system audits
Leading and communicating quality initiatives within the organization
Evaluating procedures and processes to determine compliance with applicable requirements
Assisting in the continuous improvement system
RCCA, TPM, QCPC, MFA, standard work, process certification, etc.
Traveling up to 10%
Working on these initiatives directly and via direct reports, the Quality Manager
will:
Develop and implement quality standards as required for the company
Create, implement and train others in quality control systems and concepts
Design experiments, monitor and diagnose quality-related issues
Collaborate with operations to develop and implement controls and improvements
Ensure workflows, processes, and products comply with quality regulations
Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
Maintain QA Inspection and QA Release Work Queues to ensure on-time shipments

Quality Manager Requirements:
B.S. Degree in quality, materials science, or metallurgical engineering
Aerospace Quality Assurance experience is considered a PLUS
Minimum seven years experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role
ASQC Certification is regarded as a PLUS
Experience with popular ERP systems
Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft. Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience in 6S, Kaizen, Process & Value Stream Mapping
Experience operating in an AS9100 & ISO9001 environment considered a PLUS
