Golf Shop Attendant

Job Description

The purpose of the Golf Shop Attendant is to support the golf professional staff and the goals of the golf operation in providing hospitable service to the members and guests of the Club and insuring that all charges are properly applied for the Club. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend to the varied duties of the reception counter in the golf shop.

Register each member and guest upon arrival and execute the appropriate charges for the related activities.

Report to the Head Professional all matters of immediate need and the activities of the day as they transpire.

Follow guidelines of the policies and procedures as provided by the golf operations department.

Promote sales of golf shop inventory.

Reserve starting times for members under the policy guidelines.

Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels, open to buy and inventory turns.

Assist the starter and/or outside staff when needed.

Assist in the receiving and cataloguing of all inventories.

Assist in the displays of merchandise and change on a regular basis.

Assist the golf shop in enforcing the Rules and Regulations of the Club, such as dress code, course etiquette, guest rules, etc.

Assist in organizing the stock room and maintain in a clean and efficient order.

Assist in returns for defective goods expeditiously so credit will be received in a timely fashion.

Perform any other duties that maybe required by management from time to time.

Place and track special orders

Constantly seek out ways to help improve the overall operation
