Who you are: As a member of the Boom Learning Sales Team, you will work directly with district administrators to help them gain knowledge to all the valuable tools and curricula our platform has to offer. You have an outgoing personality, strong time-management skills and a willingness and passion to learn. You come to Boom with developed SDR skills and already understand the importance of relationship building in the educational technology world. You work independently and successfully in a remote work environment. A background in education AND educational technology would make you an ideal candidate.

The Senior Sales Development Representative (S-SDR) follows and/or creates proven processes to prospect into public and private K12 Schools and Districts at the Director level.

The Senior SDR will conduct high-level conversations, schedule meetings for BDR(s) and connect with district administrators about their education/curriculum and technology strategies and requirements. The successful candidate will be a strongly self-motivated and committed individual who is goal-oriented, logical and tenacious, and can optimally interact with a team. This position has advancement potential within the Sales organization!

Position Type: This is a regular, full-time position.

Location: Remote out of your home office in one of the states of WA, WI, WY, UT, IL, IN, FL, OH.

Excited to implement innovative and target campaigns that get decision-makers excited to bring progressive technology to their classrooms

Eager to collaborate both with their SDR and BDR Team and the greater sales organization

Advanced knowledge about the K12 EdTech industry, including significant knowledge of what’s important to school district administrators

Crucial Functions & Responsibilities:

Follow up with and qualify inbound leads in a timely manner

Implement outbound campaigns regularly, from both our campaign calendar as well as campaigns developed on your own or in collaboration with your sales rep

Meet weekly call requirements

Achieve weekly Sales Qualified Lead goals by setting qualified meetings for the sales team with enough information from your qualification call to make the meeting a success

Meet weekly with your SDR Team, Sales BDR Team, Manager, and sales and marketing counterparts to drive strong collaboration

Occasionally travel to regional trade shows, as well as an annual sales training event

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have:

3-5+ years of sales development/sales experience

Excellent phone, written and verbal skills

Well organized with efficient time management skills

Standout colleague with a positive demeanor and dedication to exceeding sales objectives

K12 teaching or therapeutic background

Building your book of business and own the relationships in schools and districts

Develop and manage a sales pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment

Bonus Points if you have:

Lead Development and follow up and/or Sales Development experience preferred

Experience in K12 Education or Edtech market preferred

Experience in SaaS or B2B experience preferred

District level contacts at the top 1500 school districts (enrollment)

Requirements:

3-5+ years of inside sales experience preferably in SaaS EdTech

Degree in education - Master's preferred

K12 classroom experience

Experience working with Salesforce

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Excellent webinar presence

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Time-management skills

High level attention to detail

Willingness and ability to learn new software and processes quickly

Ability to pass E-verify and criminal background check

A quiet space to work, equipment can be provided
