Overview:
The Learning and Development Coordinator position will be instrumental in contributing to the Employee Learning and Development Program, contributing to the platform implementation and on-going curriculum content generation. The ideal candidate will work with the Learning and Development Specialist, business leaders, department heads, and managers to assist in the development, design, and facilitate organizational-wide employee development programs and learning opportunities where relevant. Taking on a pro-active position, this role will participate in major project initiatives to ensure Training is a core component of platform enhancements and workflow refinements. The Learning and Development Coordinator will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to assist in bringing together text, images, video, and audio to communicate and educate employees on how to perform job functions. This position will be based at our client’s corporate headquarters in Dayton, OH. Consideration given to remote/work-from-home candidates within their markets.
What you will be doing:
Coordinate the logistics and resources of various learning projects and initiatives
Assist in the creation of online and classroom-based training, applying solid instructional design methodology and adult learning theory
Assist in the design of blended learning solutions, which include e-learning, training guides, FAQs, and job aids to be used in instructor lead classroom and self-paced virtual training
Assist in the creation of fluid content to ensure learners remain engaged is course content using exercises, activities, and progress checks that maximize learner understanding and retention of content
Conduct detailed needs assessments with internal business departments to determine learning needs for specific jobs
Partner with subject matter experts to develop outlines, scripts, scenarios, storyboards, and simulations for classroom and virtual training
Works closely with subject matter experts and trainers to develop Participant Guides, Leader's Guides, PowerPoints, online resources, websites and handouts for all training delivery channels
Present assessment results with logic and fact-based evidence to internal business departments
What you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of progressive experience in a Learning and Development role
Knowledge of learning science and evidence-based instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, and LLAMA required
Knowledge of instructional training technology platforms such as Articulate, Storyline, and Powtoons is required
Experience with advanced video editing tools such as Camtasia and Adobe Premier required
Experience with graphic design tools in the Adobe Creative Cloud desired
Expert level working knowledge within the Microsoft Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Email
Excellent written and communication skills, technical writing experience a plus
