Job Title: Material Handler

Overview: As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout the production process. You will be responsible for handling, moving, and organizing various raw materials and finished products within the foundry environment. Your attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Material Movement: Safely and efficiently transport raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods throughout the foundry using forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials from storage areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to proper handling procedures.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular counts, reconciliations, and documentation of materials entering or leaving the facility.

Storage and Organization: Store materials in designated locations within the foundry, ensuring proper organization, cleanliness, and accessibility for production personnel.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements in material handling operations, and contribute ideas for implementation to enhance overall productivity.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
