ABOUT OUR COMPANYS

Outdoor construction company AND custom furniture building.

Yes we run two companies from the same building: Dion City Landscapes (DCL) and The Carpentry Shop Co. (TCSC).

DCL typically works in NYC doing rooftops and backyard renovations. We typically only do carpentry based jobs (fences, deck, pergolas, benches, outdoor kitchens, planters, etc.). We also do rooftop pavers on pedestals. Please visit our website to see the work that we do.

TCSC is a custom furniture company as well as a live edge slab dealer. We specialize in live edge furniture, but have a wide range of work. We build dining tables, bookshelves, coffee tables, lighting fixtures, etc. Our shop is also our showroom and design center.

Responsibilities:

Follow all safety rules and regulations

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionalsQualifications:

Experience as a Carpenter

Strong understanding of measurements

Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools

Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects

Osha Certified 10hr and 30hr

Must haver drivers license and have experience driving box truck. Experience in the following:

Building decks

Framing, footings, decking, railings etc.

Paver installation on pedestals

Bison pedestals

Porcelain, concrete, and ipe tiles

Building fences

Installing posts

Understanding property lines

Installing horizontal custom fences and panel style

Custom builds

Reading drawings

Being able to calculate cut sheets

Furniture building

Joinery experience

Domino joining

Mortise and tenon

Dovetail

Sanding experience

Finish sanding (without swirls)

Finishing

Spraying

Rubbed on finish

Staining

Water based and oil

Veneer work

Familiarity in the following tools and how to safely use them

Table saw

Sliding table saw

Jointer

Domino

Track saw

Wide belt sander
