Technical Skills

Must have demonstrable experience (min 5+ years) of designing and/or delivering complex service solutions in one or more the following areas:

Multi-tower product opportunities

Walk in Take Over and Transformation

IT Managed Service and Outsourcing

ITIL framework

Global Service Models

Consistent service designs across in-house and 3rd party products and services

Must have working knowledge of solution designs which include:

SDWAN & IP Networking

Unified Comms

LAN Technology (Ethernet, Wi-Fi)

WAN Access Technologies (e.g. xDSL, Ethernet,, MPLS)

Internet Access solutions

Network Monitoring & Optimisation

Security solutions

Mobility and Mobile Data Services

IT Managed Services

3+ years' experience in dealing with large corporate customers in a pre-sales design or consultancy role

One or more of the following industry leading certifications is desirable :

ITIL Foundation v3 / 4

TOGAF 9

Agile, Lean. DevOps

Roles and Responsibility

Providing Service Architecture consultancy and support for Customer bids

Presales Service Architecture & Designs for complex customer solutions

Product related Service Design Impact Assessment, where we are proposing non-standard and bespoke customer solutions

Post Sales low level service designs

Providing Service Architecture support to specific customers in life

In addition, the role will support the standardisation of service designs and create reference architecture frameworks and a library of reusable previous design and third party solutions including Solution Architecture design consultation. The Service Architect will produce service designs for our most complex opportunities often consisting of multiple products. This will include reviewing the solution designs developed by Solution Architects and providing peer reviews to the various design teams involved in creating a customer solution design with the objective that solutions are designed, costed, and documented in line with customer requirements and where possible in line with Vodafone's standard offering.

The Service Architect will work closely with other members of the cross-functional Vodafone teams, including: the other Chapters, tribes and squads as well as assessing units & governance teams across the business. Ensuring that the solution and service model that is designed is fit for purpose and can be readily deployed and operated by Vodafone.

High level Presales Service Architecture and post sales low level Service design for complex customer opportunities globally

Impact Assessment on Products capability gaps for non-standard bid requests and subsequently producing relevant post sales service design

Engagement of relevant technical skills and capabilities across Vodafone Business Platforms & Solutions (VBPS) based on complexity

Creation of reference service architecture models for future opportunities

Service requirements review and assessment against standard, optional and bespoke offerings
