R&D Engineer

You will be working as R&D Engineer and will be part of Electrification business area and smart power division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Engineer and will be responsible for technology and product development projects by identifying and implementing innovative solutions. In this role, you will use your technical knowledge to oversee development tasks and to contribute to strategic technology plans and the project portfolio.

Your responsibilities

Performing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) using modeling software like Simapro, Gabi or others

Documenting of technical outputs

Creating Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for identified products and assisting in environmental certification activities

Performing assigned tasks including definition, approach, analysis, review and implementation on schedule and within budget

Contributing in the identification and implementation of the eco-design principles applicable to new product design with the goal of optimize the environmental performances with life cycle thinking approach

Your background

BachelorâÂÂs or MasterâÂÂs degree in electrical or mechanical or relevant sciences

Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in R&D with exposure to product design and development, quality, value engineering, costing, preferably of electrical distribution and control products like ACB, MCCB, MCB, Contactors, or Switches

Experience in LCA modeling software (SimaPro as a plus)

Experience on Eco-design and life cycle thinking

Proficient in CAD Tools like Creo, CATIA V5, Pro/ENGINEER etc. and PLM / ERP software

Enthusiastic, self-motivated mindset and ability to work independently

Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, learning & solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
