Our client, a growing dealer group in the Metro Detroit area is looking for a high-profile Office Manager who is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial activities for our Automotive Dealerships. You will work closely with the CFO to ensure accurate and timely reporting, manage our office staff, and implement and maintain effective financial controls. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, a strong manager and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee all financial operations of multiple automotive dealerships, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Hire, train, and manage the office team, providing guidance and support as needed.

Prepare accurate and timely financial records, including balance statements, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Manage accounts payable/receivable processes.

Collaborate with the CFO to develop financial goals and strategies for the dealership.

Reconcile monthly bank and inventory statements as needed.

Coordinate with external auditors and ensure all audit requirements are met.

Ensure compliance with company, state and federal regulations, and reporting requirements.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Dealership Accounting background with in-depth experience in all aspects of retail accounting preferred.

5+ years’ experience in an Office Manager position at a Dealership preferred.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial data analysis, and internal controls.

Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other financial reporting tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy.

Must be comfortable operating within an ever evolving and high-volume work environment.
