Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in our food manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment, guaranteeing the continuous and efficient production of high-quality food products. The role requires a thorough understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise. The successful candidate will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to producing safe and superior food products for our customers.

Job Duties:

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, including cleaning and lubricating machinery parts.

Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and perform repairs as necessary.

Collaborate with production and quality control teams to ensure the continuous and efficient production of high-quality food products.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including details of any replacements or repairs.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Order and maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment necessary for maintenance and repairs.

Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.

Provide training and support to other team members on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is a plus.

Proven experience working as a maintenance technician in a food manufacturing or related industry.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).

Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations within the food manufacturing industry.

Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
