(SLPA) Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team within a school setting. Your role will involve assisting in the implementation of therapeutic interventions, conducting screenings, documenting progress, and collaborating with teachers and other school staff to promote optimal communication skills among students.

About the position:

Full Time: 35 hours per week

Assist the supervising SLP in conducting assessments and screenings to identify students with communication disorders.

Implement therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the SLP to address individualized goals and objectives.

Provide support to students during speech and language therapy sessions, ensuring their engagement and participation.

Must Haves:

Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or related field.

Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) issued by the appropriate governing body.

Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school or clinical setting is preferred.
