Position: Outside Sales Engineer
Location: Exton, PA (575 Exton Commons, Exton, PA, 19341)
Responsibilities: As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our sales team. Your primary focus will be on new business development, driving growth and expanding our market presence. Upto 80% Travel may be required.
Your responsibilities include:
Identifying New Opportunities:
Conduct market research to identify potential clients and emerging markets.
Develop strategies to penetrate new segments in the Oil & Gas and Chemical industry.
Cold Calling and Prospecting:
Initiate outbound calls to prospective clients.
Introduce our products and services, assess their needs, and identify opportunities.
Building Client Relationships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Understand their needs, pain points, and business challenges.
Sales Strategy and Proposal Development:
Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations.
Customize solutions based on client requirements.
Sales Forecasting and Goal Setting:
Set ambitious sales targets aligned with business growth objectives.
Regularly assess progress and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
Technical expertise in process control instruments, including pressure transmitters, gauges, level transmitters, flowmeters, and gas detectors.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Experience working with consulting engineering firms.
Familiarity with ERP & CRM systems.
Experience:
Outside Sales ( Technical / Engineering products): 5 years (Required)
Electrical/ Mechanical/ Instrumentation Products: 5 years (Required)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in outside sales is necessary.
Knowledge of major brands such as Rosemount, Yokogawa, Siemens, ABB, and Honeywell is preferred.
