Release Manager (Hybrid - Orlando, FL - 1 day onsite per week)

EXTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Release Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the release management process to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of software products and updates. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including development, quality assurance, operations, and project management to coordinate release activities and minimize risks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain release management policies, processes, and procedures.

• Coordinate release schedules and activities across multiple teams and environments.

• Facilitate release planning meetings and provide guidance on release scope and timing.

• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure that release packages meet quality standards.

• Manage and collaborate with teams on release artifacts, including release notes, deployment scripts, and version control.

• Communicate release status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.

• Implement and maintain release automation tools and systems to streamline the release process.

• Continuously improve release management practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.

• Participate in post-release reviews and retrospectives to identify areas for improvement.

Work Schedule Orlando, hybrid, 1x onsite per week

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or four years of comparable experience.

• Proven experience in release management or related role.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and release methodologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices is a plus.

• Certification in release management (e.g., ITIL) is desirable but not required.
