Position Overview:

CarbonFree is seeking to fill a key HR Manager role. This is a high-visibility position reporting directly to our General Counsel.

The HR Manager at CarbonFree will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, compensation and benefits management, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and implementing best practices to support the company's goals and objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations, state laws, and technical aspects of benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues, serving as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues and handling employee grievances, complaints, and disciplinary actions.

Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital, coordinating and facilitating employee training and development programs, and assessing training needs to apply and monitor training programs.

Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization, nurturing a positive working environment.

Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance, managing performance evaluation processes and providing coaching and feedback to employees and managers.

Maintain compensation and benefits programs, managing all aspects of employee benefits administration, including enrollment, claims resolution, and compliance with Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, including tax withholding and reporting.

Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics, preparing and submitting reports to management as required.

Foster diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization, implementing programs, training, and policies aimed at promoting diversity and creating an inclusive workplace culture.

Enhance employee engagement and retention through initiatives such as employee recognition programs, career development opportunities, and conducting regular surveys to assess employee sentiment.

Lead succession planning and talent development efforts, identifying and developing talent within the organization to ensure a smooth transition in key roles and positions.

Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation, resolving conflicts between employees or between employees and management in a fair and impartial manner.

Provide expertise in change management, assisting employees in navigating and adapting to organizational changes such as mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, or changes in policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive with 10+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a plant, chemical manufacturing, or similar industry.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.

People-oriented and results-driven with demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.

Knowledge of HR systems and databases, proficiency in HRIS software, and MS Office Suite.

Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills, excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company, in-depth knowledge of labor law, and HR best practices.
