MSL is currently seeking an Account Executive for our Corporate Reputation practice. As an integral member of the team, this role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day account activities for some of the agency’s most important corporate clients, specifically in corporate health and technology.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and savvy generalist with an understanding of account management, content strategy, media relations and executive visibility – and is ready to learn and grow in an exciting, fast-paced environment. We are looking for a team player with a passion for client service and driving results.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrates understanding of key client information including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers and competitors

Manages projects using organizational skills, working with colleagues, vendors and support agencies and keeping project leaders apprised of status

Provides account support including managing team timelines and statuses, monitoring budgets, attending client meetings and conference calls, reporting activity and coverage and troubleshooting problems

Researches, develops, presents, plans and implements PR campaigns and programs for existing clients and new business prospects

Builds relationships with editorial, journalistic and/or media contacts to pitch and secure earned media coverage for clients

Assists in development of core account materials, including press releases, fact sheets, pitches and digital content; facilitates internal and client review processes as necessary

Collates, analyzes and evaluates media coverage against objectives

Immerses in diverse media by actively participating on several digital/social platforms, attending agency trainings and understanding key industries

Contributes to client and account team meetings, brainstorming sessions, office activities and staff meetings

Participates in new business process by providing research, audit support, preparing proposals and lending general support throughout the pitch process

Understands MSL’s positioning and goals; demonstrates behaviors consistent with MSL’s values

Requirements/Skills:

At least two years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Communications and/or related fields

Strong technical writing skills on specialized topics

Healthcare experience preferred

Solid understanding of all basic PR tools and how they are used to achieve client goals

Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies

Strong research and editing skills

Ability to proactively manage deadlines and assignments

Compensation Range: $46,500- $68,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
