Audio Visual Technician

We are seeking multiple Audio-Visual Technicians to work on a variety of projects throughout the Greater Austin area.

*** NOTE - This is a Commercial installation role, not live event setup or audio engineering. Technicians will be performing permanent installations of A/V equipment in businesses which may include ground up construction projects and/or existing commercial buildings. This will including:

Running and terminating cabling.

Installing conduit

Installing racks, trays, hooks.

Setting up MDF/IDF locations.

Mounting Devices.

Configuring Devices.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience doing these type of commercial installs though

Advanced industry/manufacturer certifications/trainings/experience examples include:

o Forte Trainings

o Audinate/Dante Levels 1-3

o QSYS Level 2

o Crestron 101

Understanding of audio concepts

§ Audio DSP configuration

§ System tuning

SHURE product experience

Troubleshooting issues with:

o Networking

o IP Conflicts

o Firewalls

o Routing

Ability to track and document red line drawings.

Commissioning and troubleshooting of audio systems.

Requirements

OSHA 10

CTS certification, CTS-I certification a plus

· Excellent experience with audiovisual or other electro-mechanical installation techniques, or field servicing.

· Experience working in public places (schools, city/state offices, etc.)

· Industry certifications a plus (Panduit, Systimax, BICSI, etc.)

· Valid driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements

· Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs

· Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb

· Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
