We have successfully represented thousands of individuals and businesses injured or damaged in all types of legal claims, including personal injury lawsuits, insurance claim lawsuits, business disputes, and oil & gas disputes. We specialize in single event personal injury claims such a motor vehicle wrecks, catastrophic injuries, 18 wheeler/trucking/auto accidents, maritime/offshore accidents, wrongful death, refinery explosions/fires, and construction/work injuries.

Experienced Paralegal Needed for Busy Plaintiff's Trial Law Firm

Our firm handles catastrophic injury cases, truck wrecks, insurance claims (i.e., hailstorm, windstorm), car wrecks, work injuries, mass torts, and product liability.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a mid-senior level paralegal who wants to join a rising legal team that is on the forefront of litigating and trying cases with ambitions of trying bigger and more impactful cases for the benefit of consumers and working people.

You must be reliable, passionate, self-motivated, a team-player, and have extensive trial experience. You must also have references that will be checked.

EXPERIENCE:

· At least 2-3 years’ experience in PLAINTIFF personal injury litigation.

· Bilingual highly preferred.

WHAT WILL THE JOB REQUIRE?

Drafting discovery, thorough knowledge of TRCP and FRCP rules which apply to trial preparation (i.e., 18.001’s, TRCP 203, business record affidavits, etc.), e-filing, preparing trial notebooks, ordering medical records, signing-up new cases, setting up medical appointments, supervising pre-lit legal assistants and support staff, responding to client inquiries, scheduling depositions, coordinating with record retrieval companies and deposition companies.

· Must have ability to manage case from sign-up to closing out post-verdict or settlement with assistance of other support staff.

· Must be a team player and able to provide guidance to pre-litigation staff and train when necessary to increase productivity.

Primary duties also include:

Managing litigation dockets by taking ownership of your files.

Client management.

Assisting attorneys in preparation for hearings and trials.

Investigating and fact-finding for cases.

Assisting in preparing legal documents such as legal arguments, motions, contracts and agreements.

Organizing, indexing and tracking files.

Analyzing and organizing information to produce reports.

Providing administrative support for attorneys in court and at the offices.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience with catastrophic and wrongful death matters.

Excellent organizational and logic skills.

Excellent Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft 365).

Familiarity with legal databases, preferably Needles.

Ability to multi-task and perform on deadline.

Team player.

Preferred Education:

Associate degree in paralegal studies

Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) or the American Alliance Certified Paralegal (AACP) credential offered by the American Alliance of Paralegals, Inc.

Pay commensurate with experience. Benefits, including health insurance (medical, vision, dental), ST/LT disability, life insurance, and profit-sharing 401K is available.
