Coit Financial Group is seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead our multifamily investments as the Vice President of Multifamily Asset Management. In this critical position, you will play a central role in driving operational excellence, maximizing property value, and ensuring investor satisfaction for a portfolio of approximately 50 multifamily assets.

What you'll do in this position:

Portfolio Performance Optimization:

Provide strategic oversight for a portfolio of 50+ assets, with a primary focus on investments with upcoming loan maturities, potential dispositions, and assets with operating cash flow and/or cash reserve concerns.

Implement value maximization strategies for targeted assets, driving profitability and ensuring investor returns.

Develop and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to track asset and portfolio performance, identifying and resolving performance issues as they arise.

Analyze market trends and identify opportunities to increase revenue and NOI (Net Operating Income).

Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow projections.

Budgeting and Capital Planning:

Lead the creation of annual budgets and capital expenditure plans aligned with the overall business plan and asset-specific strategies.

Analyze and approve property-level budgets, ensuring accuracy, coherency and alignment with asset goals.

Oversee the identification and assessment of capital expenditure needs, developing a long-term plan to optimize asset performance.

Manage and collaborate with third-party consultants for complex capital improvement projects.

Recommend property-level distribution strategies.

Investor Advocacy:

Collaborate with acquisitions on new deals: analyze market data, underwriting assumptions (income, taxes, insurance, capital expenditures), and debt structure to ensure accuracy.

Champion investor interests by actively participating in due diligence activities for potential acquisitions.

Ensure loan compliance with all lender covenants and requirements.

Review escrow amounts and oversee that draws are being completed in a timely manner.

Oversee and manage the property insurance claims process to achieve the best possible outcomes for investors.

Lead the property tax appeal process to minimize property tax burdens and maximize returns for investors.

Develop and implement special strategies for asset sales and refinances, maximizing investor value.

Retail Asset Management:

Implement strategies to drive retail leasing success. This includes ensuring broker engagement, identifying high-quality tenants, and leading the negotiation of optimal lease terms with the Investments Associate.

Completes other tasks or projects as assigned by the CIO

Qualifications:

Must Haves:

Minimum 10 years of experience in multifamily asset management, investments, or commercial lending, with a proven track record of success in maximizing portfolio performance.

In-depth knowledge of multifamily real estate operations, financial analysis, and investment strategies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational challenges.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including investors, property managers, servicers, and lenders.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manages complex schedules efficiently with minimal supervision.

This position requires in-person attendance at our Roseville, CA office. Must be available five days per week (Monday-Friday) during regular business hours. Potential for hybrid with three in-office days.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this role is $225,000 - $300,000 / year based on the current market and level of experience.
