Job Description

In this role, you will work on high precision/high speed analog and digital circuits. You must be able to use DVMs, signal generators, and oscilloscopes and understand engineering theory, units and terminology. You will assemble products and test them using Windows based PCs running custom test software. You need to be skilled in dealing with multi-layer PCB’s and surface mount soldering/desoldering under a microscope. When a test fails, the test technician should be able to diagnose simple problems like unsoldered components, missing, incorrect, or out-of-tolerance components, or bad test connections. Analog debugging skills at both the system and component level and surface mount soldering/desoldering skills are essential. You must have knowledge of op amps, A/D and D/A converters, transistor circuits, semi-conductors and switching power supplies. Experience should be in a production test environment – ideally with an instrumentation firm. You must communicate well with engineering, manufacturing management, and the rest of the manufacturing test staff.
