Qualifications

• Barista experience is preferred, though no prior experience is necessary as we can teach the technical skills it takes to be a great barista

• You are excited to be a channel for the craft of coffee, to grow community and share the things you love

• You share our passion for coffee, food, and hospitality

• You want to be member in a team that works hard and wants to do things the right way

• You understand what the job is, and what it isn't

• You excel at working under pressure

• You can do basic math

• You can reliably commute to and from work and arrive on time. On time is 5-minutes before your shift starts.

• You have a CA Food Handler’s Certification or the willingness to attain one within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will serve up drinks and experiences to bring joy to each customer

• You will brew delicious coffee roasted by us, here in our Beverly Hills storefront

• You’ll serve our customers tasty drinks and vegan food, bus tables, run food, and wash dishes

• Display kindness to all customers and coworkers

• Be engaging and knowledgeable about our offerings and about coffee generally

• Display confidence and seek to constantly improve your skills in all aspects of daily coffee bar operations, including but not limited to:

• Customer service

• Coffee brewing and espresso extraction

• Drink finishing

• Dishwashing and general cleaning

• Point of sale transactions

• Assist in inventory and ordering of goods internally

• Stay up-to-date with all menu offerings

• Take pride in the condition of your workspace

• Operate job-related tools including coffee brewers and espresso machines

• Present yourself appropriately for the identity of the joy of coffee with your daily expressions and interactions with customers and employees

• Starting wage: $15.50/hour

• Performance based opportunity for increased wages up to $22/hr including tips
